Don't be discouraged! Spring is coming! I can feel the difference in the air when I'm outside. I can see new green growth on bare tree and plant branches. Flowers and green grass are emerging on what was a barren winter landscape. The sun is brighter and stronger and seems to cast a glow on whatever it touches.

It is as though nature were echoing the thought of resurrection. We feel rising within us a resurrected hope and a resurrected opportunity for a new beginning. Spring is a reminder to me of our risen Lord, who gives us the assurance of new life, a second chance and a fresh start.

Take time this Easter, to allow a season of Spring to emerge in your heart. Feel the difference God's presence brings all around you. See new growth come from within. With the fullness of His beauty, He will fill the emptiness of your life. It is the "Son", Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who will cast light on our darkness and change whoever He touches!

I welcome Spring. I celebrate our risen Lord. I embrace the change that emerges in my heart from knowing and trusting Him. I am grateful that in Him I am a new person, filled with His eternal hope!

Happy Spring! Rejoice, He is Risen!

What someone said or did for you that was particularly helpful in making you feel welcome in a new city or neighborhood:

Carol from Arizona
It was 4th of July eve when I was feeling particularly lonely -- tears and all -- after leaving friends and family in the Midwest a few weeks earlier. Nearly the only couple we new graciously invited us to join their big family (what July 4th is about) for a picnic and took us to the local fireworks in our new town. It was a gift I will always remember with gratitude.

Brenda from Sydney, Australia
I was standing at the traffic light waiting to cross the road. I felt quite lost and bewildered, wondering if I would ever get to know people and feel at home in this new country. Just then a car passed by and the driver smiled, blew the hooter (horn), and waved. It was Katherine - I had met her at church the previous week. Someone had recognized me and knew that I needed a smile and a wave that day! It made all the difference.

Diane from Arizona
When we were visiting a church in our new town, the people behind us asked us over for coffee right after the service. We had such a wonderful time visiting and appreciated the invitation.

God Is In The Details
Your ministry not only reaches out with love and hope and encouragement to women and families getting newly settled, but it so beautifully shares the Gospel of Jesus with them and it opens up a whole new world of possibility for people not connected to God and a faith; to find out where the true security and comfort comes from in this world. Having done it all the hardest way possible (alone), I can truly say that you offer a lifeline that is invaluable to people today.
Carol from Florida
aa(Carol, keep growing in your faith and use the experiences God provided you when you thought you were alone.)

Do Not Be Discouraged
I realized I had so much in common with Susan (founder of Just Moved!). I'm married to a hotelier and have moved 11 times, not counting the 5 times we moved in our 5 years in Beijing. We are now in Charlotte after spending only a year in California. Each move gets harder as the kids get older. This is my son's 3rd high school in 3 years. This move has been the most difficult for me. The book and course at church have helped me to move on. I haven't even finished the book but it's helping. Thank you
Newcomer from North Carolina
aa(There are so many women who can relate to you and me! God used our moves to enrich the lives of my children in so many ways so be encouraged that He's doing the same for your family.)

Be An Encouragement For Other NEWcomers
I found a 'Moving On' class when I came here to Washington State, and it was my lifeline. I can't find the words to tell you how scared and how excited I was to be there. I felt welcomed. Nobody knew me, but I felt welcome. I've grown to love this town, but we're moving again and for the first time in my life I am truly sad to leave one place for another. Your ministry is a special gift to each of us it has touched. I'm hopeful I can find another 'Moving O'n class in Georgia - and if not, I just might start one!
Audra from Washington
aa(Audra, God has great things in store for you in Georgia. Let us come alongside you in support, especially if you decide to start a 'Moving On' class. Your moving story and your heart for other movers will be a lifeline.)

Trusting God's Plan For You
I am so glad to have found your website. I remember hearing you on the radio about four years ago while I was living in Nashville. We've had two moves since then and I am falling a part. I can't stand Michigan. I can't wait to read through your website.
Michelle from Michigan
aa(Michelle, we are so thankful for how God has used our website! He will use it and many other means to minister to you as He reveals more of His purpose for you in Michigan.)

God is too wise to be mistaken.
God is too good to be unkind.
So when you don't understand,
When you can't see His plan,
When you can't trace His hand,
Trust His heart.
