In case you haven’t heard the news—our Just Moved! gigantic “Garage to Glory” sale brought in $4,7021.00 to support our ministry! Our magnificent “garage-sale-queen,” Jayne O’Connell, who coordinated the event, along with many beloved volunteers, worked endless hours and days in sorting, pricing and setting up the two-day sale. We are so grateful to our hosts, John and Mary Furniss, who literally gave up their garage for over a month as people brought items to be stored for the sale. Then, in the final hours of preparation, their garage, driveway, and yard was transformed into one well-organized, classy, staged event! When the garage sale was over and the last nickel was counted, we all gathered together in a circle, joined hands, and gave God the glory with praise and prayers for the great work He accomplished. It is to His glory that we do what we do to reach women and families for Christ. Without the dedication and faithfulness of all the men and women who give their time, labor, prayer and financial support for all our events, fundraisers, conferences and classes both nationally and internationally, we would be like an empty vessel unable to pour the love of Jesus on the lives of those going through the adjustment and transition of moving. On behalf of newcomers from Texas to Thailand, Arkansas to Australia, and North Carolina to the Netherlands- thank you for believing in the work of this ministry! What’s happening next in the life of Just Moved! Ministries? Coming soon to your city is our fabulous “No-Show Ball!” Check our web site for your soon-to-be-sent (and so creative) invitation inviting you to participate, without showing up, to this gala event! In the meantime, as the weather gets cooler-dress warmly, get your flu-shots, snuggle with your kids, tell your husband you love him in all seasons of life, make a big pot of homemade soup for a chilly day, count your blessings, say your prayers, and wrap yourself in the warmth of God’s love. |
