Although You Might Feel Lonely,
You Are Never Alone

I wonder if Jesus ever felt lonely? You know, like when He was moving around from place to place preaching, teaching, healing, and doing only what Jesus could do. I’m sure there were times He felt isolated, and very much alone when He was in unfamiliar surroundings or in a new town. Probably a lot like the same feelings you have when you move to a new place.

Oh, what a connection to Jesus--to think that He understands your loneliness when you move! Although you might feel lonely, you are never truly alone! Jesus is with you wherever you go. His presence accompanies you from place to place. He has felt your loneliness, your pain, your despair, and your hunger to be known. When you really think about it, that’s what He wanted as He moved from place to place too—for people to know Him, love Him, and accept Him.

May the peace and comfort of knowing Jesus permeate your heart and mind if you have recently moved and are facing the holidays without family and friends. And may you discover a new friend in Jesus as you grow in your relationship with Him.

Hebrews 13:5
Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.

James 4:8
Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.

John 14:2
Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you.

Scripture To Remember
…for in Him we live and move and exist..
- Acts 17:28

Question To Consider
How will I begin to “move” closer to Jesus?

Prayer
Lord, meet me in my loneliness and bring me comfort and peace. Help me to become closer to you through this move. Let me feel your presence each day through the power of your word. Amen.

Thought for the Day
I will remember that although I might feel lonely, I am never alone.
