Transplanted by God's hand...

There is comfort in knowing that God has His hand on everything that happens in our life, even on a move! Much like a plant that is uprooted and transplanted to another place, we often go into root shock in adjusting to our new surroundings. We water our woes instead of fertilizing our faith!

It’s easy to water our woes when we can’t see the big picture of what God is doing, or going to do, in our life and in the life of our family. We only see the circumstances around us, and we can easily be consumed, or overwhelmed, with what is happening right now. Many times God initiates a change in our lives, like moving, which will allow us to grow in our relationship with Him as we learn to trust Him all the more, and experience His faithfulness. Do you walk by faith or by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7) in the midst of change? 2 Corinthians 4:18 reminds us that the things which are seen are temporary, the things that are unseen are eternal.

Whether our move is planned or unexpected, welcomed or unwanted, God will never leave us or forget us in the process of being transplanted. With change, comes the opportunity to grow deep roots in the soil of God's love and care. "May your roots go down deep into the soil of God's marvelous love" (Ephesians 3:17 TLB).

Here are some ways you can grow deep roots in the soil of God's love:

>Water regularly by staying in God's word. This is the best way to replenish and restore your mind and heart.

>Provide plenty of light in your life by knowing God's truth and biblical principles. Tremendous growth will come from allowing God's light to shine on your life.

>Fertilize as needed by being in Christian fellowship. Join a bible study and get involved with Godly women who can nurture and pray for you.

Seeds for new growth can come as a result of being uprooted, transplanted, and breaking ground in a new place. Allow God, our Master Gardener , to touch your life with the planting of His hope, comfort, encouragement, and love!

Many of us refuse to grow where we are put; consequently, we take root nowhere. - Oswald Chambers

Scripture To Remember
Let your roots grow down into Him and draw up nourishment from Him. See that you go on growing in the Lord...
- Colossians 2:7 TLB

Question To Consider
Am I watering my woes, or fertilizing my faith?

Prayer
Oh God, nourish me with your presence! I desperately need you during this change in my life. I need the reminder that you have your hand on everything in my life. Help me to walk by faith, not by sight, from this day on . Amen

Thought for the Day
Today I will choose to do the things that will allow me to grow deep roots in the soil of God's love!
