- Be approachable.
- Take the opportunities God gives you. When someone invites you to do something this week, invite them to do something next week.
- Talk to other shoppers about the price of lettuce (or whatever) in the grocery store.
- When you are invited to do things, say "yes" even though you feel shy, don't know how to get to the invite's house, or don't know what to wear.
- Offer to carpool.
- Send a card or a note to someone who needs to be encouraged.
- Be available.
- Invite someone to lunch
- Join a woman's Bible study.
- Pray for God to send just the right person to be your friend.
- Find a need in your church or community and fill it.
- Walk your children to the bus stop and talk to other mothers.
- Be yourself.
- Be an initiator.
- Be a good listener.
- Put on a happy face and smile.
- Find something you have in common with people you meet.
- Ask questions.
- Find a church.
- Remember, to have a friend, you must be a friend!
- Sometimes, to make friends, all you need to do is show up.
