Hope for the future
by Georgia Gonzaga
My husband was let go from his job when a new C.E.O. was hired and wanted to pick her own management team.
We experienced six months of uncertainty that seemed so much longer! I saw my husband go through self-doubt, anger, and depression. I was also stressed by going to my job each day and not able to share what was happening at home.
I had a few trusted friends to share my feelings with and that helped.
God used that time to begin the process of bringing us both into a deeper relationship with Him.
Several friends from church prayed for us and encouraged us to let God lead us by waiting on His timing.
Applications were sent, zoom interviews were held, then in-person interviews. My husband made two trips to other states.
Then, rejection emails, no return calls.
God was closing doors to jobs that seemed a good fit to us but were not.
One job began to slowly take shape. A second interview, background check. An offer was pending, but slowly.
Then it was accepted. A new beginning with hope for the future!
