Live Generously and Graciously

3 steps to move forward with life

live generously and graciously

Live out your God-created identity. Live generously and graciously toward others, the way God lives toward you.

Matthew 5:48

Let go:

“The butcher, the baker, the candlestick maker…” What does this old nursery rhyme have to do with encountering change in your life? Change, especially the change that comes with a move, often means our identity gets lost in a kind of limbo: I used to do this. I used to be that. But now what?

Start over:

A new identity often takes time to reestablish or reinvent. In the mean time, find your identity in Christ. He loves you and He has big plans for you. So, you aren’t in the leadership position or the hub for your family gatherings that you were before all this change took place in your life. You can still “live generously and graciously toward others, the way God lives toward you.” Maybe that’s all that’s being asked of you right now.

Move forward:

Don’t let a day go by that you don’t act in a way that is generous and gracious toward someone else. Whether it’s a family member, a co-worker, the bank teller, or the barista at Starbucks, live out your God-created identity the way God lives toward you.
