Hope, even when things get hard
Choosing to have joy is not naively thinking everything will be easy. It is courageously believing that there is still hope, even when things get hard.

Let go:
Where do your mind and heart go when things get hard? Do you catastrophize? Are you discouraged?
Start over:
Choosing joy doesn’t mean that you’re all smiles and pretending things are fine. Joy comes from a deeper place of trusting and resting in God.
Move forward:
“Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track” (Proverbs 3:5, The Message).
Three steps to move forward with your life is based on encouragement from Susan Miller’s bestselling book, After the Boxes Are Unpacked. The book guides uprooted women through the process of letting go of the past, starting over with trust, and moving forward in faith.
