12 Things to Tell Yourself Every Day

by Dina Matthews

Ever notice that your self-talk – what you say to yourself inside your own head – has a massive influence on how you filter everything that happens to you and your responses to it? That would indicate that it’s pretty important to take inventory of what you are preaching to yourself.

Here are 12 things to tell yourself every day to have a healthy, confident outlook regardless of your circumstances:

1. Never will God leave me or forsake me. (Hebrews 13:5)

2. God goes before me, God is the one who will fight for me, I have only to be still. (Deuteronomy 1:29; Exodus 14:14)

3. No weapon that is formed against me shall stand. (Isaiah 54:17)

4. God knows the plans He has for my future. (Jeremiah 29:11)

5. God’s word will not go out from Him and come back empty, but will accomplish His purposes. (Isaiah 55:11)

6. God loves me so deeply, He saves my every tear in His bottle. (Psalm 56:8)

7. God will grant justice to His chosen ones who cry out to Him day and night. (Luke 18:7)

8. God brought life and healing to so many as the Son of Man, that the world itself could not contain them in the books that could be written. (John 21:25)

9. I am to ask God in faith, never doubting. (James 1:6)

10. I am to believe that I have received what I have asked God for in prayer, and that it will be mine. (Mark 11:24)

11. I am to rejoice always and pray without ceasing, giving thanks to God in all circumstances. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

12. God tells me, “Do not doubt, but believe!” and if I believe, I will see God’s glory. (John 20:27; 11:40)
